EYFS Teacher Assistant

Julie (or Iulia) has always been connected, one way or the other, to teaching. Either during her childhood when her classmates would ask her to explain something they didn’t understand or during her teenage years when she started teaching English and Maths to young children or now, in her adulthood, when she discovered her true passion is working with kids.

Julie didn’t always know she wanted to be a teacher, despite her family’s efforts to convince her. She needed to explore first, to learn about as many things as possible – she did piano, violin, acting, dancing, swimming, English, Spanish; she worked as a volunteer for many projects, especially during her university years – and then realize that she feels at her best when she is sharing her knowledge with others.

Her first formal teaching experience was in high-school when she founded her own NGO and started a free tutoring programme for underprivileged children. She is now a graduate of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures from the University of Bucharest, having done part of her studies at the University of Alicante, Spain. She also holds the Certificate for Teaching Profession Level I, from the Teacher Training Department within the University of Bucharest.

Julie joined Verita International School in 2015, falling in love with its approach towards education, its fresh and genuine passion and care for children, believing that learning is an emotional process and having as desire to be a part of this process.
