(Social Emotional Learning and DIR/Floortime Provider)

Andreea Toma Andreea holds an Advanced Diploma in Special Education from the College of Allied Educators in Singapore and has a bachelor degree in Special Education from Bucharest University, with a certification in Communication and HR Management. She is also certified in DIR/Floortime: DIR 203 – Coaching Caregivers, Teachers, or Other Care Providers (with ICDL – Interdisciplinary Council on Development and Learning).

Andreea is passionate about Floortime, Social Emotional Learning and Mindfulness, holding certifications from Rutgers University (Foundations of Social-Emotional and Character Development) and Mindful Schools (Mindful Educator Essentials).

Although she started her career as a Recruitment Specialist within a multinational company, life has taken her to Japan where she started working with children, as a Kindergarten Teacher Assistant. She subsequently moved to Singapore, where she volunteered as a Research Assistant at Samonas Singapore, and then worked as a DIR/Floortime provider and Special Education Teacher at Mighty Oaks Learning Center.

Andreea is the proud mother of two children and in 2014 she and her family moved back to Romania.

She is a resourceful and organized person, capable of connecting with children in a very authentic and supportive way.

She hopes to add value to Verita educational approach, by promoting developmentally appropriate practice and deep emotional connection within the school community.
